Fundé est né en 2000 de la rencontre de 7 musiciens amoureux du reggae roots et partageant un même désir : transmettre, à travers leur musique, un message sensible et sensé.
Founded in 2000, Fundé is a group of 7 musicians fond of reggae roots. They share altogether one common desire : to pass on, through their music, a sensitive and sensible message.
En 2003, après avoir monté le label associatif I.D.O., Fundé produit un cinq titres qui lui permet d’organiser ses premières scènes. Rapidement, le public adhère au lien profond et intime qui se dégage de ces premiers concerts et pousse le groupe à jouer toujours plus… Transcendé par des valeurs universelles, les textes intimistes de Fundé, sensibles et sensés, rassemblent tous les âges comme toutes les origines… Leur reggae, inspiré par la Jamaïque des années 70, teinté de Jazz et de Dub, caresse les oreilles du fin connaisseur comme du simple auditeur.
En 2006, le groupe produit son premier album « Présence » en distribution nationale qui, selon RFI Musique, fait de Fundé: «…un des meilleurs groupe français du genre… ».Durant trois ans, le groupe partage l’affiche avec de grands noms du reggae tels que Burning Spears, Israël Vibration, Ken Booth, Horace Andy mais aussi Groundation, Aswad et Iqulah avec qui ils partageront la scène au Reggae Sun Ska en 2007. Les radios et les showcases s’enchainent…un marathon musical qui les pousse à s’unifier, se dépasser et s’épanouir…
En 2008, après avoir produit la version Live de « Présence », le groupe approfondit et perfectionne sa pratique artistique, vocale et scénique au Studio des Variétés à Paris.Une Résidence à l’Empreinte sur la saison 2009 – 2010 permet la création des douze titres qui constitueront le nouvel album : « L’hymne à la Vie ». Ce nouvel opus audacieux reflète la maturité artistique du groupe acquise ces dernières années.
A noter, le groupe a choisi d’intégrer sur une de ses compositions 54 musiciens classiques de l’orchestre philharmonique de Melun Val de Seine. Ecrit entièrement par Fundé, l’originalité et l’intensité de cette œuvre ne saurait laisser indifférent. D’après Reggae.fr, ce titre est «…Une petite perle où le reggae français s’en retrouve tout retourné »….
Enregistré au studio « La Kabane »puis mixé par Laurent « Masta » Dupuis, Fundé est aujourd’hui prêt à présenter au public son « Hymne à la Vie ». La sortie nationale du nouvel album est prévue pour Mars 2011…
In 2003, after having created the associative label I.D.O, Fundé produced a 5-track album allowing the group to organize its first live performances.
Quickly, the public binds to the deep and intimate link that burst out of the first concerts pushing the group to keep on playing…
Transcended by universal values, the intimist lyrics of Fundé, sensitive and sensible, unite people of all ages and origins… Their reggae, inspired by Jamaica of the 1970s, tinged with Jazz and Dub, charms the experts’ ears as well as the simple listener.

From radios to showcases…the musical marathon pushes them to unify, to surpass themselves and fulfill their potential… In 2008, after having produced the Live version of « Présence », the group did not stop improving their vocal and scenic art at the «Studio des Variétés» in Paris.Their residency at the «Empreinte» from 2009 to 2010 led to the creation of twelve tracks forming their new album: «L’hymne à la Vie».
This new and audacious opus reflects the artistic maturity that the group acquired all along the years.
What seems important to notice is that the group chose to integrate 54 classical musicians from the Philharmonic Orchestra of Melun Val de Seine. Entirely written and composed by Funde, the originality and the intensity of this piece of art could not do anything but hit its audience. Recorded at the Studio «La Kabane» and mixed by Laurent «Masta» Dupuis, Funde is now ready to introduce its « Hymne à la Vie» to the public.
The new album is to be released in March 2011 in France…
