Noble Society, originaire de Brooklyn, est l’un des groupes les plus prometteurs de sa génération, notamment classé « Best reggae album » sur iTunes en 2008 avec l’opus « Take charge ». Leur son est inclassable, il varie entre le Hip Hop, le Dancehall, le Reggae, les beats lourds du Dubstep ou encore les mélodies chaudes du Flamenco. Cette richesse vient indiscutablement des influences métissées de chacun des membres du groupe : Jahdan Blakkamoore , Delie et Diego « Fuego » Campo.
Delie aka “the lyrical expert” is a Brooklyn child with Jamaican roots. His hip-hop contrasts and is as one with Jahdan’s melodies. He is the hip-hop guarantee of Noble Society. This outstanding MC is an atypical person. His lyrics are real poetry; he is inspired by joy and pain of life. Jahdan c’est la voix Reggae-Dancehall du groupe. Fort d’une carrière solo déjà très remarquée, son album « Buzzrock Warrior » a été classé Best reggae album sur iTunes en 2009, il est l’un des artistes les plus demandés de New York. Originaire de Guyane anglaise, Jahdan arrive à l’âge de 6 ans aux Etats-Unis, et participe très vite à de nombreuses soirées Hip Hop et Reggae où il fera ses armes et perfectionnera son chant. Il n’a pas tardé à se faire connaître à l’international et à enregistrer en studio avec des pointures tel que Dj Premier, Boot Camp Click, Smiff N Wesson’s, Diplo and Switch, Lutan Fyah, Matisyahu, mais également avec des grands noms du Jazz comme Branford Marsalis.
Le grand Delie alias « the lyrical expert », est un enfant de Brooklyn d’origine jamaïcaine. Son Hip Hop contraste et fait corps avec les mélodies de Jahdan, c’est la caution Hip Hop de Noble Society. Mc hors pair et personnage atypique, ses textes sont de vrais recueils de poésies tant ses mots s’inspirent des joies comme des peines de la vie. Par ailleurs, il a lui aussi collaboré avec de nombreux artistes Reggae et Hip Hop comme : Midnite, Kharri Kill, Marlon Asher, Yami Bolo, Norrisman…
Le fondateur du groupe n’est autre que le producteur Fuego Campo. De nationalités Suisse et Espagnole, Fuego puise dans ses racines pour composer. Très doué pour la guitare, dès son plus jeune âge il part aux Etats-Unis afin de suivre des cours à la célèbre école de musique de Berklee.
A l’aise dans tous les styles, Fuego a partagé la scène avec bon nombre d’artistes ; entre autres AfuRa, avec qui il fera une tournée européenne, mais aussi David Banner, Sizzla Kalonji ou encore Wayne Wonder.
Noble Society c’est aussi une formation live composée de musiciens hors-normes. On y retrouve, entre autres, le batteur Deantoni Parks (qui a joué avec : Sade, Lauryn Hill ou encore Lenny Kravitz). À la basse, Rory Jackson (qui a joué avec Lutan Fyah, Midnite) ; au piano, Nick Fantastic qui n’est autre que le producteur du célèbre « Hard time riddim » (Capleton, I Wayne, Richie Spice). Et enfin, le jeune et talentueux Mc D2 au flow nonchalant.
Proclamés « Kings of Urban Reggae » par la presse anglo-saxonne, les américains de Noble Society ne comptent pas passer inaperçus avec leur nouvel opus “P.P.M.”, mixé à Londres par Guy Buss (Lowkey, Sway, Call P, Diabolic, General Levy…).
Le mastering a été effectué dans les studios de Masterdisk à New York par le mythique Tony Dawsey, à qui l’on doit notamment trois des meilleurs albums de Jay-Z (« The Black Album », « The Blueprint », et « The Blueprint 3 »). Il a également travaillé avec Redman, Akon, Burning Spear, mais surtout Moby pour son album emblématique « Play ».
Un groupe inspiré et une production soignée, ce quatrième album studio de Noble Society s’annonce d’ores et déjà comme la référence en matière de reggae hip hop.
Noble Society, coming from Brooklyn, is one of the most promising bands of its generation, notably rated “best reggae album” on iTunes in 2008 with the album “Take Charge”. Their sound cannot be classified. It is between hip-hop and dancehall and reggae and dubstep or even the hot melodies of flamenco. This wealth comes from the hybrid influences of each member of the band: Jahdan Blakkamoore, Delie, and Diego “Fuego” Campo.
Jahdan is the reggae dancehall voice of the band. He already has a noticed solo career, his album “Buzzrock Warrior” was rated best reggae album on iTunes in 2009. He is one of the most requested artists in New York City. Native of British Guiana, Jahdan arrives in the US at the age of 6 and takes part very quickly in a lot of hip hop and reggae parties where he will earn his spurs and perfect his singing. He has made quickly a name for himself on the international stage and recorded with well-known artists such as Dj Premier, Boot Camp Click, Smiff N Wesson’s, Diplo and Switch, Lutan Fyah, Matisyahu, but also well-known jazz artists such as Branford Marsalis.
The founder of the band is the producer Fuego Campo. He has the dual Swiss Spanish nationality, which helps him to compose. He is a talented guitarist who left to the US when he was young in order to take music lessons at the prestigious Berklee College. Fuego is comfortable with every kind of music. He shared the stage with a lot of artists such as David Banner, Sizzla Kalonji, Wayne Wonder… And made a European tour with Afu Ra.
Noble Society is also a live formation formed with extraordinary musicians. There is the drummer Deantoni Parks (who played with Sade, Lauryn Hill and Lenny Kravitz). The bass player is Rory Jackson (who played with Lutan Fyah, Midnite); the pianist is Nick Fantastic who is the producer of the famous “Hard Time Riddim” (Capleton, I Wayne, Richie Spice). Finally the young and talented Mc D2 with his incredible flow.
Acclaimed as “Kings of Urban Reggae” by the American press, you will remember Noble Society with their new album called “PPM”. It has been mixed in London by Guy Buss (Lowkey, Sway, Call P, Diabolic, General Levy…).
