Alambic "Premier des Derniers" CD

Alambic has crafted a distinctive style that blends French chanson with Jamaican rhythms. The band fuses reggae, Cuban melodies, and blues with lyrics that are both humorous and biting. It’s an anthem to partying, excess, and life itself. Alambic places lyrics at the heart of its music. Miguel, the lead singer, tells tales of failed romances, the "old folks" running his town, and the pointless studies he pursued. It’s an ode to the “first of the last.” Between reggae, Cuban music, blues, and ska, the group delivers quirky and offbeat songs, promising a unique energy on stage.
Alambic recorded their debut album in collaboration with Thomas Broussard, guitarist for Jain, NTM, Saëz, and Pierpoljak. These nine humorous tracks swing between poetic and wild.
